Use cases

Three situations we designed Equaudit for. They show the workflow and what you see at each step.

These scenarios are fictional illustrations. They are not customer stories and every figure is invented to show how the product reads.

Illustrative scenario

A first report, without a consulting project

A manufacturing company with about 180 employees

Situation

HR has never produced a pay gap report. The finance director wants to know where the company stands before the first reporting date, and has no budget for a consultant.

What they do

  1. Payroll exports one row per employee with gender, job category and hourly pay.
  2. HR agrees the job categories with the finance director, grouping work of equal value.
  3. They upload the file and get the indicators for the year.

What they see

The mean and median gap, the pay quartiles, and two categories flagged at or above 5%. One flagged category turns out to contain two different jobs: after splitting it, the gap falls below the threshold. The other needs a decision.

The pass covers this case: one company, one reporting period, a full report to keep on file.

Illustrative scenario

Catching drift before the report

A software company with about 320 employees, hiring steadily

Situation

Many people join every quarter at negotiated salaries. The head of people wants to know whether the gap is moving while the year is still running.

What they do

  1. Each quarter payroll sends the same export and HR uploads it.
  2. Last year's quarters are imported once to give the curve a history.
  3. A threshold is agreed: any category above 4% is discussed at the quarterly review.

What they see

The evolution chart shows the mean and median gap quarter after quarter with the ±5% band. One category creeps up over three quarters, which prompts a review of starting salary ranges before the official report.

Tracking turns the yearly snapshot into a view you can steer. The official report stays the deliverable.

Illustrative scenario

One adviser, a dozen client companies

An accounting firm that offers pay transparency reporting to its clients

Situation

A dozen clients ask for their pay gap report within the same few weeks. The partner needs to see who needs attention, and wants junior colleagues to work only on their own clients.

What they do

  1. Each client is added as a company in the firm account.
  2. Colleagues are invited with a role and limited to the clients they handle.
  3. Each client's payroll export is uploaded and reviewed with the client.

What they see

The portfolio lists every client with its latest annual report and whether any category is at or above 5%. The partner starts with the flagged ones and opens a client to see its full report and tracking.

The Firm plans cover several companies in one account, with a portfolio view, team roles and an activity log.
